Unspoken
In the heart words melt like ice
Rephrasing and rehearsing years pass by
Seasons change, life moves on in its own stride
Yet we hold on to our feelings, that can make life worth living
Emotions rise and fall like tides.
Unable to utter three letter words, silence sighs
Heart weeps unable to sing a song of love together
While time slips like sand from fingers.
Tears dry, as she waits to hear those magical words
Broken and shattered, darkness within deepens
Yet, 'I love you' remain unsaid, unspoken forever
To mingle in the grave as a love letter unopened.
