PAIN SOOTHES

by - May 27, 2026

Strange, how sorrow soothes at times
Becomes a shelter of dripping drops and cries
Pain caresses heart in silence
Ache rolls within, a quiet alliance.

Blank ceiling remains to stare day and night
Eerie and haunting, gives freight
To ease the weight only solitude is right
Connect the dots as thoughts arise.

Alone you come, alone you will go
Some will grieve you, some will smile.
So, don't sit in darkness
Open the curtain welcome light.

Wipe the blood from your wound
Scars will shine as trophies
Reminding you, pain felt only when you are alive
Rewrite yourself now it's time.
