Battling for Dawn

by - April 15, 2026

Frost wrote silence on my name,
Every breath spells it pain
which I thought ceased to exist.

I wear the scars unseen,
numb and hurt from inside.
Oh, I traveled a path long
Through the wilderness of doubts.
That grew thick and dense.
Seasons came and left at their own pace.
In front of my dried gaze.

I survived winter and summer's rage,
Longing for spring to last in my dreams
Battling for dawn.
Seeking fragrance of joy abound.

A gentle hush awakened me within.
I claim to thrive in the beauty of life.
Embers sparkled beneath the page.
My pulse revived out of stillness.
Because life is one and beautiful,

I shall give no power to others to ruin
Become like a river which flows effortlessly,
Carving hope on rocks
before it mingles into the vastness of the ocean.
