The earth became dry and parched 

Summer heat was prickly and harsh 

Longing for rain eyes looked up to the sky

Nebulous clouds filled my heart with delight.

The canvas of the sky became dark and grey

Gentle pitter patter turned into rain, gently hit dry clay

Heaven tears kisses earth and me

Soaked in ecstasy, I weep and. smile.

As curtain of rain hid me from prying eyes 

I collect shiny and silvery pearls bright 

Joy drench me from head to toe

I danced like a peacock forgetting my woes.

Splash splash, feet dance in rhythm true

Water dripping from tresses 

Connected with God I let go of my fears

Rain quench flames of rage and resentment eyes in tears

echoes in my ears

Holding the trunk of a tree i danced merrily 

Earth beneath my feet cold was cold and wet 

Strings of pearls adorned leaves with shimmering droplets 

Downpour scattered diamonds everywhere.

Unpicked it remains, left ache in my heart

A mother with a child in arms rushed to find shelter 

The open sky didn't serve the rooftop for her

In disbelief i looked up to the dark sky

Why can't we all enjoy nature's bliss together?

Why for some it is boon and blessing , others curse?

Karma never forgets to play its game 

In my cupped palm I try to gather HIS grace 

Pleading Lord to give peace and strength.
