Do you understand what it is to be alone in life,

To live in a place where one can't sleep and lies awake,

With stillness and darkness that haunt,

Every sound scares me to death,

Reminding me of bygone years and previous mistakes.

That wraps me in memories that aren't right,

If it's a dream, I can't pretend to say it doesn't haunt me

And compel me not to wake!!!
