Sizzling Summer
Summer sizzle, shine 'n glare
Earth ablaze 'n ignite vibrant air
Long sultry days simmer hot and bold
Basking earth in heat n' hues of gold.
Fiery day mellows down with dusk
Fragrant is night jasmine on dry crust
Night's clemency sings melodious rhapsody
Stars twinkle in rhythmic symphony.
Three months of summer seems long and harsh
Swaps away moisture and drizzles O' Lord
Harbinger of mangoes and melons delight
Parched mind and soul pacify.
Children rejoice in summer season
Amidst holidays and ice lollies feast frozen
Sunflowers sway thrilled, whilst heart pines for rain
Beckon showers to calm burning kiln.
