Hello October! Still missing you
"Hello October! Still missing you!"
I hold plucked autumn leaves in my hands
The canopy of leaves in tune with myriad hues that had seized the day
Now turn russet and rustle with wind as winter chill creeps in stealthly.
A month of beauty and magic vanishes into sepia as granny's photograph
Long nights awaits barren palash and gulmohar tree
My tired eyes hide,my heart ache to see jade turn into russet.
But the scattered leaves cherishes the lived moments.
Grey clouds overcast skies and sun mellows
Dear October in your remembrance, I vow not to shed my tears
Memories of October etched im my heart
Through the mist of time, it teaches life is a celebration.
