Stay Home, Social Distancing, So, Social, Covid-19

The lockdown has been extended in India till 3rd May 2020. The fact is that it is the need of the hour no matter how we feel. With an explosive outbreak of the unknown and invisible novel COVID-19  and in our joint efforts to fight the fatal virus. We have been maintaining social distance to break the chain of infections. By doing this we will be paying our respects to all the health personnel, who are risking their own lives to save victims. The policemen on road, People sanitising buildings. The groceries stores and pharmacy that are open in challenging times to ensure that our needs get fulfilled.

Schools, colleges, malls, restaurants and recreation centres and public transport remain shut making many people unhappy and depressed. People are fed up and losing hope and complaining. Lockdown for some is hard, for some, it's nap time. We all are not living the lives which we were used to, and have settled down to the basics. It is a tough and challenging time for people all around the world. Thanks to the internet and technology that is keeping our morale intact. Children are having the toughest time. They have holidays but can't go out and play. Playgrounds and parks are deserted, swings are barren. They understand the grim situation and are well-behaved and content. No-fuss and no complains. It has been truly said God resides in children.

As responsible citizens, we need to support the second phase of lockdown  There are few funny and irresponsible people out there who are risking their own lives and creating dangers for others.
This time, it is very simple and easy to show our love towards our country. No one has to join the army or acquire training, We can serve the nation and humanity just by staying at home. Isn't that easy? At the same time its high time to justify the saying:

"Home Sweet Home"

Welcome to " Flavours of life "every Wednesday to read interesting articles, poems and stories. Hop on my poem "Realise" published in "Indian Periodical". Till we meet next...

"Stay home, Stay safe"

Realize

Pandemic engulfs our paradise
havoc and chaos arise
isolation and quarantine
each human being paralyzed.
everyone needs to realize
it's not time to mobilize
or will have to pay the price.
O' people do not colonize,
the virus does not seek insect or mice
to spread the disease and survive
humans are carrier this time
it's time to learn a lesson and acclimatize.
Human values need to be emphasized
understand our responsibilities to sanitize
stick to the rules and follow advise
save each other and patronise.
