Mother Earth is healing!

A thought crops up in my mind and leaves me pondering; is the coronavirus crisis a God's rage on mankind? Is this a lesson and a conspiracy by the Almighty to heal the mother earth. Is this a turning point to heal the planet. Who knows?

She has been battered and tortured in the name of the development. With the cutting down of trees, emission of carbon dioxide and poisonous gases from the industries and vehicles. The pollution level was rising alarmingly. And a time came when human arrogance reached to its peak to define its existence on planet as human-centric. We forgot the values of sharing and living with other beings on earth.

As a human, we consider ourselves as a supreme being and forgot that we are only a tiny spec in this cosmos. Nature suddenly lost her patience and now it's her wrath that we face. She has taken the resolution to reclaim its space via coronavirus crisis. This pandemic has enforced lockdown all around the world. The biggest and busiest cities worldwide have come to a standstill. Human activities have come to halt, amidst sadness and fear with people losing their lives to coronavirus. Institutions, schools and colleges are closed, beaches are empty. Entertainment centres, malls and public spaces are shut down. There are fewer vehicles on roads. Air traffic has reduced and so pollution.

Now its time to rewind our thoughts and understand our mistakes. In a matter of a few weeks, everything has changed. During these hard times, even the doors of God are barred. Temples, mosques and churches are not even open to pray.

We have started appreciating the old values and simpler things in life. Now, we only want what we need, and not what we want. Health is a priority. Nature is giving a lesson in its own way to mankind. It has shown its might and can wipe out humanity in an instant.

The positive effect of this crisis is meant only for humans to understand. Nature is recovering. The tables have been turned. Humans stay indoors out of fear, dolphins have returned to Italy's coast. Swans have found their paradise which was otherwise populated with tourist and gondolas. Birds have returned to cities and are chirping merrily. As roads are deserted animals from nearby jungles walk freely in Japan, India, New York and several other places.

We humans had taken over the earth without realising the power of nature which can erase us in a snap. We don't own this planet, we are just travellers and we should learn to cooperate and co-exist.
